Visit to financial market of New York

We had a wonderful trip of the financial Market of the New York city and State. We had moved around the famous Street buildings of world famous financial institutions like Bank of America, Federal Reserve Bank, Stock Exchange of New York . We could see everywhere multiple , gygantic, high raising, multi storied – about 200 or even more storied buildings around owned by various big players in money market like very big insurance companies like Alliance and Metlife , Mutufal fund Giants of the world .

New York City is the top global center for finance. It is home to the world’s two largest stock exchanges by market value, the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq, alongside major world banks and key institutions like the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, on the Wall Street of New York.

New York City is the world’s most sophisticated and diverse financial center. Home to 45 Fortune 500 companies, NYC boasts the deepest capital pools, the finest international talent, and an administration that is committed to strengthen the city’s financial base.

Operating in New York City offers unparalleled benefits a such as:

  • A large talent base of more than 330,000 financial service workers
  • Home to more than 200 angel investors and venture capitalists
  • Robust and consistent regulatory and legal environments
  • A city government responsive to business needs
  • A favorable corporate culture
  • One of the most open markets to foreign companies globally

Though the lanes in the area are quite big, after looking at the gigantic building spread all along, they look like very narrow one. At this place we can see unique models of construction, not only very big but having different kind of structures, designs, and one wonders – why it is so ? The reply is very much logical and highly respectable and quite admiring one too. In order to facilitate accomodation of number of multi storyed buildings occupying lakhs of people at one place, and taking into account their need of air circulation and keeping it maximum even by sacrificing to certain extent in designing outer part of the buildings. Hats off to all these people , who are so much conscious of their basic needs of air and ventilation, while promoting their business on such a massive high rising mansions all around.

Thereafter we had seen the Big Bull of the New York Stock Exchange. It is a very big sculpture of Bull, carved in some metal. The “big bull of new York” is officially known as Charging Bull. It is a massive 7,100-pound bronze statue located on Broadway just north of Bowling Green in Manhattan’s Financial District. Sculptor Arturo Di Modica dropped it off illegally in 1989 as a symbol of financial strength after the 1987 market crash.

Size: Stands 11 feet tall and 16 feet long.
Weight: Weighs 7,100 pounds (3,200 kg).
Meaning: Represents a “bull market,” financial optimism, and prosperity.
Tradition: Visitors rub the nose, horns, and front for good luck.

There was a big line to take a photograph with Big Bull. We enjoyed having framed us in photo with the Big bull. On the sidelines of big bull, there were many petty shopkeepers selling various items including statues of Bulls in different sizes and prices. We had too bought two Bulls – one for Akshay and one for us to be kept in our houses.

AThere at a distance there is Bear to in the visinity. The Bear is of red color. There were negligible visitors near the Bear. Only those who do not know more about the term of bear in stock market, had delightedly taken photos along with bear.
