Statue of Liberty

We four on next morning had gone to see the Statue of Liberty, important Icon of New york city. It is located at liberty island, New york harbour. It is a big copper sculpture given as gift by France to USA in 1886. The statue is of a woman holding a torch and table containing declaration of us independence.

The Statue of Liberty  faces east  because the East Front of the U.S.Capital was planned and built as the building's principal entrance.  The statue was intentionally positioned to face the main arrival point and greeet people approaching from the side. 

It is a very big statue now in blue color. visible from all sides and corners of the area. It is on a big rock with beautiful surrounding around it. we need to go their by statue city cruises, which is two storied big boat, transporting hundreds of visitors at a time.

We were living in New jersy hotel Ramadan, and from their my son had hired a car, which he drove for us to the stature of liberty. There is big crowd to see the great monument of USA. We had to stand in line , by the time my son bought the tickets for all four of us - ticket range is about 40 dollars per person. We had been at the statue in the afternoon at about 3.45 pm. Within few minutes we could get seat in the ferry going towards the statue. in about 20-25 minutes we could be at the doorsteps of the statue. After getting down from the ferry boat, we had a very good scenic view of the statue from all the sides. It is really a magnificient monement. Its carving, structure everything well preserved and maintained for so many years.

It is surrounded by various types of shops and hotels providing food stuff, drinks, etc. Many people were seen with the cap as worn by the lady in the statue. It is surrounded by lush green gardens with ample space for seating and enjoying the atmosphere. People around were in very joyous mood, enjoying real freedom of every respect - freedom of expression, food, clothing and loving too . It is a very vibrant, colorful, joyous atmosphere everywhere around. There are various shops , cafeterias in the area. We enjoyed some snacks and cold drinks at the nearby cafe surrounding us.
