MISSION USA :

Me and my wife vandana embarked upon our USA tour with our bags and baggage. We had taken every care to see that the limit of weight allowed on the flight booked is not crossed to any extent. Further made lot of enquiries and made google search as to what items are permissible or allowed to be taken to USA and include only those with us. We never wanted to take any kind of risk in this respect and ether be witness to a scene, where ruthlessly the staff at airport would check and throw away something from our bags. We were well aware of the strict rules and checking taking place not only in india, but specially at Dubai and Newyork airport on our way. We left for Mumbai from Pune from our home, by a special taxi booked through Brahmin Business network of carowners operating from Pune. Our Flight from Chtrapati Shivaji International Aiport, Mumbai was scheduled at 22.25 as departure time, and the check in time was at about 18.55.We were in contact with the designated driver Anand Kulkarni who assured us to be in time at our residence . We enquired about the load bearing capacity of the car etc. and he fully assured us of all assistance and informed about the capacity of the car etc. and so we were without any tension in that respect.



We left Pune from our home at about 11.50 on 29th July 2026. The driving experience was nice and we reached Mumbai Airport well in time by5.00 clock. On route we had a small break for tea and getting fresh. He drove us at the right terminus and helped us get down the luggage, fetched a trolly for us etc. As phoned earlier the father and mother of Gayatri, our daughter in law were present at the airport, they met us and helped us a lot. We again had a tea/coffee at the airport. They had been waiting there till the time we went inside the airport with our bags. At the mumbai international airport we were amazed to see so many muslim families waiting for their turn going abroad through various air ways. One of the smart muslim young boy in peculiar white attire helped us take a snap of us with family of gayatri at the airport.

Fortunately my son Akshay had booked for Trolly facility for both of us, which helped us a lot , in moving the baggaged, getting the bags checked and getting seated at the right counter on the air terminus. We had undergone strict bag checking and passed on successfully without any doubt. we then happily moved to the counter meant for Emirate Airways and spend there about two hours before starting of check in time.

MUMBAI TO DUBAI –

Due to some reason checking in started somewhat late about 10-15 minutes, as the plane was on its way to airport. However, immediately on arrival staff attended quickly the passengers waiting for check in and after confirming all documents, tickets , etc allowed all to move to their individual seats in the plane. We were greated with smile on board by air hostesses of Emirate Airways. EK 509 flight of UAE airways from Mumbai to Dubai International Airport was by a plane Boeing 777-300 ER, having typical seat capacity of 436 at a time with different classes within it. Flight time duration was of 2 hours 54 minutes. My son and daughter in law had made a very wise selection of the seats making our journey more comfortable within the given glass with sufficient leg space.

The young staff of boys and girls serving on UAE airways was best in every respect. Well dressed best attire of girls- with dark red turban type cap on head with white silky big neck scarf of some very soft white dress material with equally high red lips made them more attractive and enthusiastic too. The boys also had a wonderful dress and all were very smart and courteous. we were provided with so many items of food stuff on board like rice and dall, some kind of biscuits, nuts, fruits, crackers, salads, etc. They also offered hot tea, cofee and cold drinks of different varieties and fruit juices, as per everybodys desire. We could see many Indians and maharashtrians too flying to USA via Dubai in this aircraft. I had a seat near to window, though not exactly window seat. But i could have a pleasent view of sky and surroundings easily. while coming near the Dubai, i had a very pleasant, attractive, magnificiant view of Dubai, Emirates and Airport too. It was glittering all along , looking fabulous like some fairy tale. I could took few snaps too while landing. I have a great respect for the ruler of UAE, very wonderful dynasty taking care of people and future of countrymen in real sense. The Kind and his sons Fazza (Hamad), Faisal, Mohammad are my favourite and facebook friends too. I adore them a lot for their constant efforts for real national development and prosperity of all with induction of new scientific ways and means in every aspect of their life and industry. My first impression of Dubai from the window of the plane, is that it is really very much amazing,glittering, mesmarising. On getting out of the plane we had used the services of wheel chair attendants, who had been very kind, cooperative and supportive for our further movement for next connecting flight on the same Dubai Airport. The wheel chair attendants were seen many heafty, strong, well mannered and knowing their duty well, perhaps majority of them from african countries . Dubai Airport is very vast, just cannot imagine compared to any indian airport. The Large sized Lifts can carry hundreds of passengers at a time on multiple storeyed airport. Only because of wheel chair assistance our movement was fast, swift and comfortable without any trouble. Otherwise it is a big bhul bhulayya, wherein any one can miss if he or she is alone . We were then transferred internally to the place wherefrom our next connecting flight for USA- Newyork in particular was to take of.



CONNECTING FLIGHT AT DUBAI FOR USA- NEWYORK

At this counter before checking in the men and women are segregated and lined up differently. At this Airport while going for USA , travellors are thoroughly checked. Very Strong , heafty, disciplined, commando type black people are on duty, both for men and women. Then while doing thorough checking, they compell you to open every bag, and show every item therein by taking out. Further if you are carrying even water bottle , you are not allowed. You have to compulsorily drink the water bottle completely in front of them. This was something new found here. May be there some reason, why it is expected. Not aware of any instances wherein water had been misused as an instrument of carrying undesired element to USA.


At this point of checking i had some problem, because the baggases got distributed when men and women were segregated. One bag of wife was with me, and i was not sure about the lockers number on the bag, so they kept me aside and asked to seat separately and wait till my wife arrives there after her checking in. After some time my wife came, and the bag with me was opened in rechecking me by the same staff. As nothing objectionable was found, I too was allowed to move forward.

At the Dubai Airport the staff attached to counters, which are many, thoroughly go through your papers, visa, passport, air tickets, return tickets and also ask you some question to ascertain the purpose of our visit to USA, how long would we stay there, who would finance our stay, and some information about the person who sponsors your trip to USA. It is always better to have answers ready to all these question, better to have it in typed format on paper, which you can show to the counter staff along with visa, passport etc.

From Dubai we travelled by Flight No. EK-203 of UAE from Dubai to Newyork. The checking time was at 23.35 on 30th July and departure time of flight was at 02.35 on 31st July 2026. For this flight Emirates uses a very big size Aeroplane AIRBUS A380-800, which is a very large , two deck, four engines passenger airplane. Even for Economy or Premium Economy class provides Generous seat pitch, regionally inspired meals, and the award-winning inflight entertainment system with thousands of channels. It is about 17 hour journey. But only because of best facilities offered, we could do it peacefully. We used to walk during the flight just to ward off the fatigue as many other passengers on borad too did it. As my son and daughter in law had booked special hindu vegetable thalis and snacks, it was all awesome. We enjoyed breakfast, meals, dinner, intermitent tea, coffee, cold drinks, fruit juices very often circulated and offered to the passengers on board.

The show visible outside from the window was mesmarising. Due to Night time many were sleeping including both of us for a pretty long time. Though the plane was on a great height and moving with a very fast speed, we passengers never felt it . We were just feeling as if we were sitting in some stagnant position in some cozy chair. such a pleasant experience. Fortunately all the gifts, valuables taken for presenting to our loving son and daughters were allowed to be taken in all kind of searches of bags and so we were in much relaxed mood. The flight was on schedule and we were at the fag end of our journey towards Newyork. While landing of the plane there was some more noise and some jerks at physical level. I feel the landing more dangerous for many reasons. Fortunately the plane landed safely at the designated place. Then there was rush on the part of the passengers to take out the bags and baggage from the compartments for luggage over heads. As we were at the portion of the flight which was quite at the back side, naturally it took lot of time for us to get down from the plane. While getting down the air hostesses greated with bye bye with a smiling face. At last we were at the Newyork airport as per schedule. While coming out as we had taken the assistance of wheel chairs, we were taken outside by the designated staff which was assigned this duty. The exist process took place peacefully due to assistance of staff from wheel chairs. In the meanwhile there was message from son on whatss app that they are outside of airport waiting for our arrival. I was worried as to when and where to find my son and daughter in law. But to our great surprise when we both came out of the designated lungh, we could see our siblings just front of us waiving their hands. We were too much pleased to see them in our front, though at a somewhat long distance. We too raised out hands and greeted them . in few minutes the staff of wheel chairs moved us outside with the bags and baggage. While coming out of the aerodrum, we could locate our bags, as specially marked to help us distinguish and collect easily. We literally had no problem in collecting our huge bags which were in the plane and we came out. As soon as we both got out of the exist area, my son and daughter came forward, greeted us and took charge of all our luggage very anxiously. They were very much excited to receive us with great joy, pride and enthusiasm, they were just bubbling with joy as was appearing from their faces and body language. My son Akshay had come with a big car to take us and as such we moved forward towards the parking area, where his new rental car was parked. Though the Aerodrum is very big, spacious, luxurious the parking lot is the same as in india, with peculiar underground smell and darkness to certain extent. My son Akshay and daughter in law Gayatri helped us to put in all the bags and baggage of us along with their own in that big car, specially hired for our visit by Akshay.
