We had been staying at Hotel Ramadan in San Diego. But this time we were not much happy with the hotel. Our experience with Hotel Ramadan few days back in some other cities was quite pleasant. Here the situation was quite different. Any way as the hotel was comparatively near the world famous Sea World of San Diego, we had booked there.
In the morning after having a tea and biscuits , bath etc. we left out of the hotel by checking out by about 10.00 a. m. Before going to Sea World we had a heavy breakfast at Hotel Madurai in San Diego. It was known for south indian food, The experience was quite OK.
We then went on the tour of Sea World, San Diego. When we had been there we could see massive rally of cars in parking slots, indicating great rush being the week end. My son had already made the booking online and hence we could save time on booking tickets by standing in the rows. One day is enough if you come early morning to see all the major shows , key animal exhibits etc at the sea world. We need to check before hand the show time and ride times etc. before actually moving around various animal shows including those of Whales, Sharks, Dolphins, Sea Lions etc.
One thing is certain that it is most costly affair to visit the Sea World at San Diego. The entry tickets, parking everything is very costly. Entry ticket is in the range of 100 Dollars per person. Only children below 2 age not required to take entry ticket.
Before entering into the sea world visitors needs to undergo strict scrutiny. You can not carry outside food , except water bottles . We could see the famous show of Sharks and Whales. There is very big pond with blue water seen from every nook and corner. Around it build a very big balcony for visitors to seat the view the show . Many thousands people can seat at a time and enjoy the program. Like some cricket stadium there are many rows to seat around we decided to set at some upper benches fortunately we made a proper decision by luck~ by the time show started the balconies were full of people children young and old all enthusiastic to enjoy the show of most wild sharks, whales etc.
The show of Sharks, Whales , Dolphins is worth seeing and mesmarising. In this sea world you can see in front of you very big, giant size sharks dancing to the tune of their masters, many a times young boys and girls. Their commands are fully followed by these animals. They swim fast round the lake, jump high in the air, move other side as per commands, come up in the air all in straight line, by a single stroke they throw out such a big volume of water that almost 500-700 people seating in front 8-10 rows are completely wet. They dance nicely, they completely follow all instruction, rarely somebody disobeying. Before and after every act they are required to feed fishes, so there are big boxes of fishes kept ready for feeding them during the show, after every performance. They jump high in the sky 15-20 feet above water level, while doing it they also twist their bodies, take a round in the air. Great show in front of us.
